At WCEI, we deliver world-class wound care instruction using top-notch credentialed wound care instructors from various health care disciplines and diverse settings. Our wound care instructors bring with them the most current educational research, materials, and products from their clinical practices to our programs.
All our presenters adhere to WCEI’s wound care instruction philosophy of driving knowledge down to the bedside level, making wound care instruction open and accessible to all qualified health care professionals, and making the wound care instruction experience useful, practical, dynamic, interesting, fun and beneficial to attendees and their patients.

Co-Founder of WCEI/Clinical Instructor
WCEI founding partner Nancy Morgan has been an RN for 20+ years and board certified in wound, ostomy and diabetic wounds. Nancy is a nursing entrepreneur with an MBA. She is a dynamic public speaker and international presenter who still conducts much of the hands-on training and wound care education for WCEI. Her motivational teaching style has inspired health care professionals across the nation. It was Nancy’s entrepreneurial spirit that led her to co-create the Wound Care Education Institute (WCEI).
RN, MHA, WCC, DWC, OMS
Donna Sardina has 30+ years of nursing experience, an extensive background in long term care and holds board certification in wound, ostomy, and diabetic wounds. As a Registered Nurse, Donna also holds a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration. She is a well-known author and editor in the field of wound care education and she is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Wound Central. In addition to writing much of the course material for WCEI, Donna has authored several books and manuals on the topic of wound care.

Board certified general surgeon by the American Board of Surgery with over 25 years general surgical experience, Dr. Wollheim has extensive expertise in wound care, medical-legal consulting, general and vascular surgery, and advanced science education.
Scott Batie ♣
MPT, RPT, MEd, WCC, DWC, OMS
As a Licensed Physical Therapist with years of teaching and wound care experience, Scott Batie combines his expertise in advanced wound care, rehab management, and staff development along with his Master’s in Education to provide a stimulating and enjoyable teaching experience.
PT, CWS, WCC, DWC
A Licensed Physical Therapist, Bill Richlen has years of experience in advanced wound care consultations and staff education. His expertise in diverse settings such as long-term care rehab management, skilled rehabilitation, and outpatient and home health enhance his role as a clinical instructor.
Gail Hebert ♣♣
RN, BS, MS, CWCN, WCC, DWC, OMS,
Gail has been a registered nurse for 35+ years, and has practiced in the area of wound care for the over 20 years. She holds a BS and MS degrees in nursing, and three board certifications in wound care through the NAWCO and the WOCN (Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Society). She is also a member of our Ostomy Management instructional team. Her energetic and enthusiastic presentation style makes learning easy and fun.
Joy Hooper ♣
RN, BSN, CWOCN, OMS, WCC
As an RN with over twenty years of wound and ostomy care experience, Joy has practiced in a variety of hospital and in-home care settings. She is a successful nurse entrepreneur and is board certified by the WOCN as a CWOCN and by the NAWCO as an OMS. Her relaxed and down-to-earth teaching methods enable students to learn easily in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.
