Wound Assessment + Surface Selection
From the novice to the well-seasoned clinician, this seminar will provide a step-by-step approach for conducting the perfect wound assessment. This includes tissue types, wound etiologies, and pressure ulcer staging. A a comphrehensive review of support surfaces for prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers.

Upon conclusion participants will be able to: 
  • Describe the elements of a wound assessment
  • Identify pressure ulcers utilizing NPUAP staging guidelines
  • Identify tissue types commonly found in wounds
  • Discuss the use of support surfaces for prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers
  • Examine the evidence for therapy support surface selection
