Identifying the incorrect etiology of a wound can delay healing, waste money or even get you in big trouble. In this session, learn how to identify stages of pressure injuries and differentiate between pressure and other wounds including: moisture associated skin damage (MASD), diabetic foot ulcers, suspected deep tissue injury or bruise and friction wounds.
Target Audience: Nurses, physical therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals interested in wound care.
About the Speaker:
It was Nancy’s entrepreneurial spirit that led her to co-create the Wound Care Education Institute® (WCEI®). She has been a registered nurse for over 20 years and is board certified in wound, ostomy and diabetic wounds. She is a dynamic public speaker and international presenter whose motivational teaching style has inspired health care professionals across the nation and around the world.
