Webinar Description:
Pressure injury prevention (PIP) in long-term care is most effective involving the entire facility team. This session will explore the wound care leader's role and techniques to implement a PIP program as a long-term facility goal, transferring teamwork into wound care dreamwork. The session will discuss strategies to integrate research-based evidence on PIP and early identification of pressure injuries.
 

About the Speaker:
Dr. Autumn Henson is a practicing geriatric nurse practitioner and wound care consultant in Winston Salem, NC. She has been working with long-term care and with wound care for over 18 years, starting first as RN with interested in providing individualized medical care and support for each patient and loves specializing in overall older adult healthcare including chronic conditions, end of life care, and especially wound management. In 2018, Dr Henson completed her goal of achieving her Doctorate of Nurse Practice from University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her DNP project has evolved into an article in press for publication.
