Webinar Description:
Globally, millions of people are affected by burn wound injuries each year. The World Health Organization estimates that there are approximately 200,000 annual deaths. For those that survive, complications such as infection, scarring and chronic wounds can lead to long term disability. Burn care has evolved over the years to improve morbidity and mortality. This presentation will discuss the history and development of current best practice guidelines for the management of patients with burns in all care settings.

Target Audience: Nurses, physical therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals interested in wound care.
