Peristomal skin complications are a frequent problem with up to 60% of individuals with a stoma. These skin complications and associated symptoms (pain, irritation, and odor) can significantly interfere with daily physical activities, leading to social isolation, anxiety, depression, and a reduced quality of life. This 1-hour presentation will focus on some of the most common peristomal complications, seen with both urinary and fecal stomas, including etiology, identification and treatment. Live webinar recording sponsored by Shield HealthCare.
