Webinar Description:
Chronic, non-healing wounds negatively impact patients’ quality of life and add significantly to treatment costs and costs associated with potential related litigation. Despite advances in wound care technologies, the problem of chronic wounds continues. Several factors contribute to wound chronicity, but wound infection and biofilm continue to emerge as playing key roles. Join us in this session as we discuss the role complex wound bioburden, particularly biofilm, plays in delayed wound healing. Learn how to assess for the presence of biofilm and strategies for effective intervention and management.
