Wound Assessment 101

Webinar Topic: Wound Care

Speaker: Karen Bauer, DNP, APRN-FNP, CWS

CE Credit(s): 1.0

Length: 60 minutes

Price: 10

Webinar Description:
This session is designed to cover and review some of the basic principles of wound management as well as some advanced concepts related to the field of wound management. Given the complex clinical and highly regulatory nature surrounding wound management, it is crucial for wound clinicians to adopt standardized language and classification systems to determine and  adequately communicate wound related treatment plans. It must be taken into consideration that a wound or a skin ulcer is affected by nearly every bodily system, and therefore proper identification and  thorough and accurate assessment is necessary. High quality wound management begins and ends with great recognition, diagnosis, evaluation, and documentation of the wound itself and the patient that it is affecting. This session is designed to cover and review some of the basic principles of wound management as well as some advanced concepts related to the field of wound management.
